Best Ever Toffee Chocolate Chunk Cookies
This recipe has been in my family for years, thanks to my childhood friend Kelly. If you know me, I've brought these to your house for a party. There usually isn't a single one left. I think the salt is what makes them such a hit. You can’t beat salty and sweet!
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 bag semi sweet chocolate chunks (Nestle) - I prefer less chocolate so sometimes I use ½ bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag Heath toffee chips (brown package - not chocolate covered)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Beat butter until fluffy, then add sugars until mixed.
Beat in one egg at a time, then vanilla.
On low speed, add the flour mixture until well blended.
Stir in toffee and chocolate chunks.
Drop by heaping tablespoons (I use a cookie scoop) on ungreased cookie sheet (make sure it’s a good non-stick one because toffee hardens and gets sticky).
Bake for 7-9 minutes or until lightly golden.
Let sit for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet. Then transfer to a baking rack to cool completely.

The recipe is supposed to make 3.5 dozen but that all depends on how much dough you eat.*
*Consuming raw eggs can be dangerous, but life is short and cookie dough is amazing!
